Encompassing the entire northern shore of the continent of Kots'sutta, Waizjuny is one of the more geographically-prominent counties on its continent. It is known for its lush sub-tropical jungles and dense cities packed against the seas.

The county has been embroiled in internal conflict for decades.

Terrain

The most northern edge of the Serjek Kruva is in the west of Waizjuny, with some flatter and less-lush rocky hills and plains to the east. The heart and most of the county is dominated by the great Vora Giria, an ancient forest known for its heavy rains and wet, difficult landscape; however, the land does give way to more dry terrain in the southern center of the county.

The northernmost areas of the county are dominated by several large rivers, though their tributaries are many, weaving through the dense jungles and marshlands. Islands of stable ground may be found in the marshlands on the coast.

Demographics

Approximately 80% of the Waizjuny population identifies as Human, 5% as pureblooded ("Red") Sith, and 10% as other Galactic species.

As of the last several decades, the gaps in wealth within the social stratums have increased dramatically. Over 75% of the population lives beneath the Drezzian poverty line.

Most within Waizjuny are free citizens, with 5% registered as slaves; however, counts of unofficial slaves or indentured workers place this number as high as 30%.

Economy

Waizjuny once had a thriving economy--Imperial, and private--based on the construction and servicing of maritime vessels serving in the northern seas. The conflicts and insurgencies that have battered the continent have put much of the required infrastructure into deep disrepair, as well as evaporated many of the critical supply chains for such activities. Anavniu and Icikgua have managed to maintain some working infrastructure for this industry, though logistics impede many projects.

Past surveys have identified deposits of industrial metals within the Vora Giria, though the majority of efforts to exploit identified reserves have dwindled over the past several decades and sharply declined with the outbreak of the recent escalated Kots'suttan conflicts. Reserves in the Serjek Kruva continue to produce at a reduced rate, albeit with ever-present Imperial security.
