Unless they're incredibly physically strong or just used to being walking tanks, Force users typically wore what could be considered "medium" armor, combining metals and leathers.
 
This was due to multiple factors. The pre-industrial state of Drezzi was still relatively recent in cultural memory due to the pureblooded population's long lives and prominence. Plates of metal to cover vulnerable areas was reasonable--especially on the chest and key areas around the limbs--, but full metal was often considered as cumbersome and it was unnecessarily expensive. Less-bulky armor also provided a maneuverability edge in combat with other lightsaber-wielding opponents
