GALACTIC REINTEGRATION

Galactic Reintegration

Following Drezzi’s reincorporation into the reconstituted Sith Empire, the world’s Force sensitives became a point of focus. Though there was no formal organization of those calling themselves “Sith”, there were long traditions from the days of the Old Sith Empire still prevalent within the world’s culture—albeit having drifted in practice from their ancient roots.

The mastery of the Dark Side was still the most prevalent way sensitives interacted with the Force. Houses sent their sensitives to academies for training, which were either run by the houses, themselves, or operated independently. Though the methods and results varied academy-to-academy, those that bested their trials were known as “lords”. Those that mastered the Force were given the title “daar’tah” by another of the same rank; such title was typically reserved only for those that ruled each house, with few—typically the head(s) of the house and the chosen successor—holding the title at any one time. The tradition of those over houses needing to possess the title of daar’tah—“darth”—continued into the time of the Old Republic.

Inquisitors of the Sith Order inspected the practices of each academy; though some were found to be too heretical and dissolved, most were reformed and brought into alignment with the greater order. Many of those academies had consolidated by the time of the signing of the Treaty of Coruscant; after the academy on Korriban was declared the central location for Sith induction, only a small handful of these old academies remained and operated under strict stipulations set by the Empire.

Long-hidden reserves were discovered and tapped following the introduction of the Sith Empire’s technology and capital. The increase of planetary resources allowed for new industry, and the subsequent exploitation of the reserves on other worlds within the system allowed for Drezzi to integrate into the Empire’s galactic economy.

In the time before the Great Galactic War, Drezzi’s sociopolitical history and atmosphere was determined by the Sith Empire to have analogs with those of Alderaan; subsequently, as part of the Empire’s efforts to undermine the strength of the Republic, the houses of Drezzi were encouraged to build relations with those of the other world. Though the Empire’s efforts had some success, the overwhelming cultural influence of Alderaan began to affect the Drezzian houses. As they were exposed to Alderaanian culture, many Drezzian houses began to mimic the practices and architecture of the Republic world; by the time of the Cold War, much of the cultural influence was noticeable among Drezzi’s elite.
