The estate was in shambles, but House Torkessh remained, albeit battered. As is the way of all civil wars, rebuilding was not clean; oaths were renounced as their disillusioned takers went into exile, and others simply scattered into the greater Galaxy. Still, there were the loyal, and those found rewards--though the atmosphere was still tense.
 
With the newly-crowned Countess Lametelia within the information-oriented Sphere of Galactic Influence, the culture within the halls of the estate began to change. The intelligence apparatuses of the darth, which had once been pointed outward to the Underworld and the Republic, turned inward to investigate and vet those that remained within the House and its service. Though paranoia and suspicion ran through the house, it wasn't long before those with questionable loyalties were rooted out, and what remained was the (mostly) loyal families and clients of the House.
 
"Resource Acquisition Teams" that had once been formed to gather and contain Force artifacts were reworked into precision strike teams. The Catacombs--a containment facility deep under the estate--changed their focus from containing new artifacts to studying those that had already been acquired, and the Sith that were within the House found themselves being asked to use their power bases to reinforce and reinvigorate the ailing county. The intellectual might of the old House Torkessh was combined with the planning and precision of their new leadership, creating a broader power base that was known for doing more with less, rising from the ruins.
