THE QUELLING OF WAIZJUNY

The Quelling of Waizjuny

The Quelling of Waizjuny was a special police action and the start of a multi-year conflict that swept across Kots'sutta that eventually drew in all counties on the continent. The action is considered a tipping-point in Kots'suttan politics, when the Planetary Security Council (PSC) and external counties began to recognize that the continent could be a hotbed for insurrection. For the first time in hundreds of years, an expeditionary force was formed by the PSC for domestic purposes.

Fearing drawing the Empire's ire on a world so close to Korriban, much of the activity of the Quelling--and the resulting series of conflicts--was kept from reaching the larger Imperial stage through political maneuvering by the PSC.

Campaign in Waizjuny, Stage 1

The Kots'suttan Army of Achty'ai claimed to be the voice of the people of Waizjuny and the true authority of the county. Though not officially confirmed in any reports to the Crown, it was popularly known that the daughter of the head of House Achty'ai was leading the insurgency. House Torkessh intelligence determined that she was intending to use the rebellion's network to control other counties, and that her father was complicit.

The KAA had established an encampment (Encampment 00) to the west of the House Achty'ai estate. Posing as official Imperial forces with open codes transmitted impersonating House Achty'ai, House Torkessh sent a strike team to attack the encampment. The daughter was located at the encampment at that time and was killed in the attack.

After the House Torkessh force withdrew, the KAA retalliated by attacking a nearby Achty'ai Guard outpost. The Planetary Security Council--pressured by House Torkessh--commissioned two expeditionary forces and retalliated.

Campaign in Qaizjuny, Stage 2

The Kots'suttan Army of Achty'ai (KAA) retreated from their defeat by the 1st and 2nd Expeditionary forces at Encampment 00; the KAA, divided, fell back to Encampmets 01 and 02 (E01 and E02) in the Vora Giria and the city of Reaqil, respectively.

The 1st Achty'ai Guard (1st AG) pursued KAA forces toward E02; the 1st AG consists of the majority of armed forces remaining for the Achty'ai Estate.

The 1st Expeditionary (1st Ex.) was sent to Reaqil. House Torkessh's 8th Special Forces unit, personally lead by Lord Commander Feriduun, attacked key KAA locations in Reaqil, and the 1st Ex. was rapidly deployed to secure the city. The 1st AG arrived to the city under occupation by the 1st Ex.

The 2nd Expeditionary (2nd Ex.) continued aerial attacks on E02 during this time.

Campaign in Waizjuny, Stage 3

The 1st Ex. and 1st AG neutralized KAA forces in Reaqil. E01 has a skeleton garrison; the majority of replenished KAA forces moved toward Icikgua and Rahaelyr.

Campaign in Waizjuny, Stage 4

The 1st Ex. was deployed to intercept KAA forces moving to the city of Icikgua, with 2nd Ex. harassing the back of the KAA advance while in operational range. The 1st Ex. had a brief engagement with KAA forces approximately 50 kilometers outside of the city. An Ex. terrestrial air transport was lost, including crew and 12 FX-3 battle droids. The KAA advance was forced to re-route by the destruction of a major highway through a mountain pass, resulting in a day delay. The 1st Ex. reached Icikgua and prepared for the KAA siege of the city.

KAA forces moving southward from E01 moved into the neighboring county of Kraujaskatda. The 3rd and 2nd Jioz Guard mobilized from the south of the county. The three entities raced to meet at the city of Rahaelyr.

Campaign in Waizjuny, Stage 5

The KAA forces successfully reached Rahaelyr before the 3rd and 2nd Jioz Guard could fully prepare their defenses. With a swift and brutal assault, the KAA sacked the city, causing significant damage and loss of life. The surprise and intensity of the KAA's attack overwhelmed the 3rd and 2nd Jioz Guard, forcing them into a hasty retreat southwards.

As Rahaelyr burned, the KAA consolidated its forces and set its sights on further expansion in the heart of Kots'sutta, while the demoralized 3rd and 2nd Jioz Guard regrouped to plan their counterattack in the county of Kraujaskatda. The stage was set for a continued and escalating conflict across the continent.

Campaign in Waizjuny, Stage 6

Following the shocking sacking of Rahaelyr by the KAA, the Drezzi Security Council convened an emergency session to address the escalating conflict. Acknowledging the severity of the situation, they authorized the expeditionary forces to include sentient beings rather than solely relying on droids with limited biological support.

House Torkessh of the county of Ullitzae, a prominent member of the "Roots of Nûrsot" political bloc, volunteered to lead the newly formed sentient expeditionary forces. Other counties in the bloc pledged their support by providing additional troops, supplies, and resources for the upcoming campaign.

The primary objective of this new phase of the campaign was to repel the advancing KAA forces and regain control of Rahaelyr. House Torkessh assembled a coalition from the various counties in the "Roots of Nûrsot" bloc, creating a formidable Drezzi-raised force to face the KAA.

As the newly formed sentient expeditionary forces led by House Torkessh prepared to face the KAA and retake Rahaelyr, the KAA forces made a strategic decision to shift their attention westward. Their target was the coastal port city of Neatu in the county of Khoijuts.

Khoijuts had long been accustomed to defending its lands against raiders, but the KAA's organized assault presented an unprecedented challenge. The sudden change in the KAA's focus caught the local defenders off guard, as they now faced a well-coordinated and determined enemy force.

Recognizing the potential threat to their supply lines and regional stability, House Torkessh and the "Roots of Nûrsot" bloc quickly adapted their strategy. While maintaining their primary objective of regaining control of Rahaelyr, they also allocated resources to reinforce the defenses of Neatu and support the county of Khoijuts in their efforts to repel the KAA's organized assault. The campaign became a complex operation requiring coordinated efforts on multiple fronts to protect Kots'sutta from the expanding KAA threat.
